Organic Fuel Technology A/S and its partners in the WaveFuels-consortium have received a 6,5 mDKK grant commitment from
the Danish EUDP-program – a public innovation support program for energy technology.
The grant will be used to finalize the design of OFTs first full-scale test- and demonstration plant and to validate up- and downstream values streams. The plant is due to be in operation in early 2025.
– We are very pleased! The commitment from the EUDP-program is a
vote of confidence in the company’s great potential and in our unique technology, says Jens Henrik Haahr, CEO of OFT.
– With this assistance we will finalize the design and further speed up
our preparations for the first full scale test plant. It is a big and positive leap forward.
OFT has conducted more than 100 test runs at pilot plant scale and the next step is to prove the technology in full scale demonstration.
– We already have proof of concept for our technology, and we know
much about our end-products – bio-oil and biochar. But to enter the market with an attractive commercial product that can contribute efficiently to the fight against global warming, we need to prove ourselves in a real-life operating environment. This journey gains speed now, says Jens Henrik Haahr
